In Pure Simplicity

Garden Calla Lily, shared by Irena

Christ is Risen!

Thy Resurrection, O Christ our Saviour, the Angels in Heaven sing. Enable us on earth, to glorify Thee in purity of heart. ~ Paschal Stichera

When going to the Holy Mysteries, go with simplicity of heart, and with the proper reverence toward this, in full faith that you will receive the Lord within yourself. ~ St. Theophan the Recluse

The core of our faith is actually extremely simple‚ that there is a God that created us and He became like us so we can become like Him. In order to do that He died‚ resurrected and ascended to heavens‚ taking up our human nature upon the heavenly throne. All we have to do is follow Him‚ take up our crosses and get going. ~ Fr. Vasile Tudora

May we, with verdant Simplicity of Heart, brightly bloom as pure lilies in God’s Eternal Garden of Pascha, and rejoice in His Divine Beauty of of Simplicity.

Truly He is Risen!

Moving Forward With Hope

All of us sin constantly. We slip and fall… The Holy Fathers and the Saints always tell us, “It is important to get up immediately after a fall and to keep on walking toward God. Even if we fall a hundred times a day, it does not matter; we must get up and go on walking toward God without looking back.” What has happened has happened – it is in the past. Just keep going all the while asking for help from God. ~ Elder Thaddeus Vitovnica

Do not be surprised that you fall every day; do not give up, but stand your ground courageously. And assuredly the angel who guards you will honour your patience. While a wound is still fresh and warm it is easy to heal, but old, neglected and festering ones are hard to cure, and require for their care much treatment, cutting, plastering and cauterization. Many from long neglect become incurable. But with God all things are possible ~ St. John of Kronstadt

Honoured Patience

Mosaic Seraphim – St. Sophia Orthodox Church, Canada

Do not be surprised that you fall every day; do not give up, but stand your ground courageously. And assuredly, the angel who guards you will honour your patience.

~ St. John of the Ladder
